Participation in the Burlington Concert Band
Musicians interested in performing with the Burlington Concert Band are welcome. Each musician should have:

- At least three year's experience with the instrument in a performing school band. It is recommended that students be entering at least ninth grade in the fall.
- Ability to play major scales in the instrument's keys of C, F, G, D, A, Bb, and Eb.
- Ability to read music with rhythms including eighth-note triplets and sixteenth-note combinations.
- Ability to play chromatically in at least a two-octave range.
Anybody interested in participating in the Burlington Concert Band should notify Ruth Blauwiekel and attend a rehearsal. The section leader at the rehearsal will help to assign appropriate parts. New musicians should attend two rehearsals before performing a concert. We are currently looking for all instruments.
